Planning and Program Design Services

WPA offers many years of experience in strategic planning for philanthropic organizations and grant programs.  Our methodology entails:

• deliberate fact-finding about and analysis of the client's values, objectives, and organizational capacity,
• probing research and surveillance on the external environment and issues of importance to the client's field of interest,
• detailed analysis and articulation of potential areas for high impact,
• facilitation of organizational planning, including board members, donors, executive leadership, management, and staff at all levels of the client's organization,
• development and design of program guidelines and application and review procedures,
• development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation processes,
• comprehensive assessment tools to measure the client's progress towards meeting its own objectives and mission.

Advocacy and Other Program-Related Activities

WPA understands that many of its clients are seeking to broaden their relationships with grantees beyond the traditional role of funder, as well as to strengthen their own capacity to engage in strategic communication and advocacy activities.  Accordingly, WPA also offers the following services:

• development and implementation of capacity building, training, and technical assistance programs for individual grantee organizations and cohorts, 
• development of advocacy tools for clients interested in movement-building activities, such as engaging in public policy,creating a media strategy, working with advocates, and organizing stakeholders.
